ʻO wau ʻo Blaine, no ʻEwa mai au. Rooted and raised on da island of Oʻahu; although my roots are in ʻEwa Beach, I am currently living in Kailua. As keiki ʻo ka ʻāina (children of the land), we are drawn to our kuleana (role) at a very young age. That was kilo lani (astrology) for me. I would sneak up on the roof of my childhood home and watch for 3 suspiciously bright stars in the night sky, we know as NāKao (Orionʻs Belt). Even though I have chosen to master other paths, it was the moments of kilo lani (stargazing) that progressed into a glue-like structure. Binding all the elements of my life that kept me alive and going. A visual common denominator of my value. Iʻll spare the details of my life as it was a dark path of illumination, a death and renewal out of the ashes, turn of events. For what felt dormant, I would hear myself talking to others about astrology indefinitely throughout my maturity. Astrology fit like a glove, the knowledge I would seek and to the messages I would share. My comprehension of astrology was natural, but what felt unnatural, was reading my star signsʻ horoscopes. It would feel untrue at times or would resonate effervescently. A suspicion was planted ever since, inspiring me to learn more to have it all make sense. Well that all made sense in 2025 discovering True Sidereal. As a majority of my zodiac signs have changed from western systems (tropical), all the descriptions made absolute sense with True Sidereal. It was like re-connecting with my younger self sitting on the roof of my childhood home. With a combination of kilo hōkū (astronomy), kilo lani comes to life with deeper meanings and messages. This inspired me to create Da Conch Hawaiʻi and share my ʻike with our lāhui.
